About the Co-Hosts

Dr. Latanya Benjamin and Jason Grant-Henriques, podcast co-hosts

Dr. Latanya Benjamin 

Dr. Latanya Benjamin is a double board-certified pediatric dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, Dr. Benjamin’s specialty is the perfect blend of her two passions: pediatrics and dermatology. She’s always felt strongly about advocating for children and is passionate about informing families so they can make the best possible decision for their child. As a new mom, she thinks that adds a richer dimension to the level of care she provides to patients. 

She often hosts free skin checks, and is involved in grassroots events and programs that educate the public about solar protection and sun safety for children. Dr. Benjamin is a proud recipient of the first Volunteer of the Year award given by the Women’s Dermatologic Society. In her free time, she enjoys jogging outdoors and traveling.

Jason Grant-Henriques

Jason Grant-Henriques is an aspiring filmmaker, cinematographer, videographer and video editor. He has worked for Memorial Healthcare System for 11 years as a patient financial representative at South Broward Community Health Services. A single-father of two boys, he is passionate about creating original and engaging digital media content for non-profit and corporate clients by using the latest industry production standards, software and techniques.

Bahati Banks

A native of San Francisco, Bahati Banks' early career started in the Bay Area’s well-established nonprofit sector, where she worked with county and state agencies and health foundations to coordinate a statewide youth violence prevention campaign; an award winning youth development and social justice organization to keep students safe; and nonprofits across five Bay Area counties to fund education and health initiatives. In 2005, she moved to Atlanta and spent the next 13 years building a second career as a content marketing specialists in the fields of academic medicine, healthcare IT, and graduate education. Most recently, she relocated to sunny South Florida to work as a digital content writer for Memorial Healthcare System’s marketing and corporate communications team.
