The Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Program at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital offers comprehensive rehabilitation care. We specialize in supporting children and adolescents with disabilities. These conditions can affect the brain, spinal cord, limbs, muscles and nerves. This can impact a child’s ability to move, swallow, speak and function independently.

Our team of specialists provides patient- and family-centered care. This care adapts to your child’s changing needs throughout their rehabilitation. We feature both inpatient (in hospital) and outpatient (in office) services to help where your child needs it most.

Our program is the only one in South Florida staffed by fellowship-trained, board-certified pediatric physiatrists. Physiatrists focus on improving health, reducing pain, and restoring function and mobility to those with physical and neurological disabilities. As pediatric physiatrists, our doctors specialize in treating children and adolescents. Our advanced training and expertise help infants, children and adolescents reach their full potential.

We have a dedicated team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language pathologists. We work with the rest of your care team to help you and your child set goals and achieve growth and developmental milestones. We stand by your side when challenges arise. And we’re here to cheer on your victories as well.
