About Me
My grandfather was a pediatrician and inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. My love for sports drew me into the sports medicine field. I love helping kids follow their passions in sports, which enhances their physical and mental health, helps them build lifelong skills and gives them a meaningful and positive way to spend their time. Our impact extends outside the clinic and into the community.
When working with patients and their families, I take a very holistic approach to care. This means that while following standard, evidenced-based protocols, I also consider the patient and their family dynamic and challenges that may impact their adherence to physical therapy or another treatment. Our goal is to do what we can to personalize their care to their needs, lifestyles and challenges so they can be successful and reach their goals.
My favorite part of my job is helping someone get back to doing what they love — whether that be playing a sport, being active or being able to do special things on vacation. I also love the impact that my work can have in the long run — not only helping someone heal from an injury today but learning how to prevent similar injuries in the future and take better care of their health and bodies as they get older.
In addition to providing individualized patient care, I enjoy working with local and international sports teams providing care, guidance, education and support. Currently, I work with more than 20 high school varsity football teams through the Broward County Athletic Association and serve as team physician for the USA Olympic Ski and Snowboard team.
