I am a fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Memorial Healthcare System, where I provide comprehensive care for children with a range of bone, muscle and joint problems. My practice has a particular focus on limb differences and deformities, complex limb reconstruction, trauma, and neuromuscular conditions including cerebral palsy and spina bifida.

I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela, where I completed medical school before moving to the United States to continue my training. I completed my orthopedic surgery residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program, training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. During my final year, I was selected to serve as Chief Resident at Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. I then completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where I received advanced training in the care of children with complex orthopedic conditions.

I have always been drawn to medicine by the opportunity to help others improve their lives. What drew me specifically to pediatric orthopedics is the opportunity to make a difference not only in a child’s health today, but through their growth and development. My goal is not simply to correct an X-ray or to treat an orthopedic condition. My goal is to help a child move more comfortably, improve their function, gain independence, allow them to participate in activities that are important to them, and ultimately improve the quality of life of my patients and their families. Being able to make that kind of lasting impact in the life of a child and their family is what continues to motivate me day after day.
