Dr. Lavandosky is a board-certified pediatrician with a specialty in pediatric critical care medicine. He received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Virginia Tech, and then attended medical school at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He completed a pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia, where he was also chief resident. Dr. Lavandosky went on to complete a pediatric critical care fellowship at the Children's Medical Center of Dallas/University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Upon completion of his fellowship training, Dr. Lavandosky relocated to South Florida, where he has been practicing pediatric critical care since 1996. His interests include the management of infants and children after surgery for congenital heart disease and the use of extracorporeal life support in pediatrics.
