About Me
I am a pediatric otolaryngologist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. I care for children from newborn to adolescents with recurrent ear infections, chronic middle ear fluid, hearing loss, recurrent tonsillitis, sleep-disordered breathing and nasal obstruction, among other conditions. I also enjoy treating patients who require eardrum repair and care to manage sinus infections.
I’ve always been passionate about learning and applied science, and I chose medicine because it enables me to apply that knowledge to improve patients’ health. Pediatric otolaryngology stood out to me because it combines both medical and surgical care, allowing me to meet children’s needs in various ways as they grow.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is caring for patients over time. Some children need ongoing follow-up, while others return with new concerns, and I enjoy being part of their journey. I also often treat siblings, which allows me to develop relationships with families and partner with pediatricians and other specialists to provide the best care.
My approach is centered on listening carefully to parents’ concerns and tailoring care to each child. I share information on the medical options available and then work with families to create a treatment plan that follows best practices while keeping their child’s unique needs in mind.
Beyond my clinical practice, I’m actively involved with the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, where I was honored with the 2024 Honor Award for my contributions and volunteer service. Advocacy is an important part of my role as a physician, and I strive to ensure that patients receive the care they need. To deepen my understanding of the healthcare system, I earned a Master of Business Administration and was named to The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at UMass Amherst, the program’s highest recognition.
