Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital at Memorial has once again earned national recognition as one of the 2025–2026 Best Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report – achieving a historic milestone with rankings in six pediatric specialties, the most in the hospital’s history. The hospital also earned the distinction of being highest-ranked in Florida for both Orthopedics and Neonatology.

A Closer Look at Our Top-Ranked Specialties
Pediatric Orthopedics (#17 in the U.S., Highest-Ranked in Florida)
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Orthopedic Center is a leader in treating complex musculoskeletal conditions, including scoliosis, fractures, and sports injuries. The Center’s comprehensive team includes pediatric orthopedic surgeons, specialists, and therapists who use state-of-the-art technology to provide personalized, child-friendly treatment options. With expertise in advanced surgical techniques and minimally invasive procedures, the center focuses on achieving excellent patient outcomes and helping children return to play and daily life faster.
Neonatology (#27 in the U.S., Highest-Ranked in Florida)
Neonatology at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital provides neonatal care up to a Level IV NICU, the highest available in Florida. The Wasie Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the only designated Level IV NICU in Broward County, offering advanced treatments for critically ill newborns. Across three NICUs, strategically located at Memorial Family Birthplace hospital locations, the hospitals combined deliver comprehensive care for over 1,000 newborns annually, including those born prematurely or in distress.
Pediatric & Adolescent Behavioral Health (Top 50 in the U.S.)
Ranked among the nation’s best, this program offers comprehensive mental health services for children and adolescents. The program focuses on treating a wide array of behavioral and emotional conditions through an integrated care model, including inpatient and outpatient services. By collaborating with families, schools, and community resources, the hospital’s team of child psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers provides personalized care to support the mental well-being of young patients.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on a comprehensive assessment of clinical outcomes, resources, and expert opinions from pediatric specialists across the country. In collaboration with RTI International, data was collected from 119 children’s hospitals this year to identify the nation’s top-performing pediatric care providers.
