About Me
Medical Director, Pediatric Electrophysiology, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital
I provide care for children with heart arrhythmias and adults with congenital heart issues. Throughout my career, I have pioneered cardiac ablation therapy for children, a procedure that modifies or eliminates the abnormal tissue in the heart that is causing an irregular rhythm. I have performed close to 2,000 cases with positive outcomes.
In addition to my clinical work, I also lecture and publish extensively about pediatric cardiac arrhythmias, including mapping and ablation, and sudden cardiac death in children. I earned my Bachelor of Medicine degree from National Taiwan University School of Medicine, and received a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. I completed two fellowships at the University of Miami School of Medicine – one in pediatric cardiology and the other in pediatric cardiac electrophysiology. I am also a certified cardiac device specialist and a Fellow of Heart Rhythm Society.
Prior to joining Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, I directed the pediatric electrophysiology and pediatric cardiology divisions at the University of Miami as a tenured professor in its Department of Pediatrics.
