Medical Director, Clinical Effectiveness and Complex Care Programs, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

I am the Medical Director of Clinical Effectiveness and Complex Care Programs at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. I serve as a complex care pediatrician at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital’s Center for Complex Care, which is a medical home for medically fragile children. These children often require a multidisciplinary approach to care, with collaboration from multiple pediatric specialists and care partners. My job is to function as their home base to coordinate care, ensure decisions are being made with input from all necessary parties and ensure all medical needs are taken care of. 

I am also the clinical lead for Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital’s growing relationship with Boston Children’s Hospital. I also direct a new hospital program, the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital’s Partners Network, which is a relationship-based network comprised of pediatricians and healthcare entities. 

I’m a big believer in empowering families and do my best to support them in taking their child’s care one day at a time. Children are our most vulnerable patients, but they are also so resilient and filled with joy. Our team strives to give them the love and support they need to thrive. 

Before joining Memorial, I was a general pediatrician and Chief of Primary Care for many years at Miami/Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. I came to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital to develop and lead the complex care program – a role I knew was the perfect fit for my expertise and passions. Each day, my hope is to help alleviate some difficulties for families caring for children with complex needs, and make sure they know they have a team rallying behind them every step of the way.
