Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital’s Heart Institute is a lifeline for children in Florida, providing critical care for congenital heart diagnoses, heart failure, and heart transplantation. Our team has trained at top programs across the country and utilizes state-of-the-art technology to treat children here at Joe DiMaggio, close to home. Our Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Lab is one of the most high-volume and advanced centers in the country. This allows for less invasive intervention for children with cardiac disease. As one of only two centers in Florida performing pediatric heart transplants, we support young patients through years of medical care. These patients require complex medical management, from medications and specialist care to implanted devices that help their hearts pump. For many children, a heart transplant is their only chance for survival.
The funds raised from the Red Gala will support medical equipment, patient care, care coordination, research, and education, ensuring we continue delivering expert, life-saving care for our Heart Institute patients.
