About Me

I am an adolescent medicine specialist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. My special interests include eating disorders in adolescents and adolescent reproductive health including menstrual issues and contraceptive management.

I was inspired to become a doctor due to my love of science and my fascination with how the human body works. During medical school, I found myself more energized by encounters with pediatric patients. Nothing beats the moment when a child feels better, and you see their smile and energy return while witnessing the relief and joy of their family. These are the moments that fuel me as a doctor.

I love serving the diverse population in South Florida and providing evidence-based, culturally competent, patient-centered care. I particularly enjoy speaking to my teen patients and their families and being an advocate for their physical and mental health at such a critical stage of their development. I strive to make sure every teenager feels understood, heard and valued, and that their parent or caregiver can connect with them even more deeply after gaining more knowledge about the particular condition that is being addressed. I also enjoy educating families on various issues they present to empower them to make the best decisions for their child/teen.

In addition to patient care, I often write, present, speak and teach about various topics regarding adolescent medicine, especially feeding and eating disorders and reproductive health.
