Conditions We Treat

Our acute inpatient pediatric rehabilitation program treats patients with a variety of diagnoses including: 

  • Amputation
  • Brain injury (traumatic, non-traumatic, anoxic, infectious)
  • Cerebral palsy (post orthopaedic or post Rhizotomy)
  • Complications of severe medical illnesses
  • Developmental disabilities with complications
  • Multiple trauma
  • Neurological complications of brain or spine tumors and surgeries
  • Neurological disorders such as Guillain-Barre, transverse myelitis
  • Orthopaedic conditions (trauma or surgery)
  • Spina bifida with complications
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Stroke

Patients must be free of ventilator dependence and able to tolerate rehabilitation for a minimum of three hours of therapy per day. Patients with tracheostomy tubes, nasogastric tubes, and gastrostomy tubes are accepted. This program is designed for participants age 18 and younger, except special circumstances requiring physician approval.

  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech therapy
