Dr. Stuart Brown is a board-certified psychiatrist and pediatric neurologist. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College & Hospital in Philadelphia, and served his residency in neurology at Jefferson Medical College & Hospital and at Philadelphia General Hospital. He came to Miami from Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Boston to serve the University of Miami as its first chief of child neurology in 1968.

Dr. Brown served Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital as its first chief of staff from 1997-1999. Since joining Memorial, he has undertaken a variety of other responsibilities, including the position of Chief of the Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Regional Hospital and membership on many committees. He also practiced privately in child neurology for 35 years. Dr. Brown has published, lectured and taught extensively at state, local and national organizations throughout his career.
