Meet the Physician

Medical Director, Pediatric and Congenital Echocardiography Program

Jaime Alkon, MD, a board-certified pediatric imaging cardiologist, earned his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru, in 1997. He completed his residency in pediatrics at State University of New York in Brooklyn in 2001. He completed his pediatric cardiology core fellowship in 2010 at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, where he served as the chief fellow in pediatric cardiology from 2009 to 2010. Dr. Alkon completed a fourth-year fellowship in advanced echocardiography and fetal echocardiography at the Hospital for Sick Children in 2011. He then served as staff pediatric cardiologist/pediatric echocardiography and fetal cardiologist at Phoenix Children’s Hospital from 2011 to 2014. Dr. Alkon joined the Heart Institute at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Memorial Physician Group in 2015.
