In addition, every quarter we recognize our DAISY Award recipients (nominated by patients, families, or peers) with a ceremony to honor our nurses who display skillful and compassionate care.

We recognize that our nurses are not only the cornerstone of patient care, they are also the heart of healthcare. We believe in the power of nurses to heal the body, mind and spirit of those they touch.

The GetWell Network, available on every television in each patient’s room, allows our nurses to assign patients and families to watch educational videos related to the patient's condition.
Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is proud to have reached Stage 7 of HIMSS Analytics' Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model. This recognizes organizations that no longer use paper charts and demonstrate a commitment to patient outcomes, satisfaction and safety.
