Physician Biography
Dr. Boucek is an internationally recognized interventional
cardiologist and an expert in pediatric heart failure and
transplantation with over 26 years of experience in medicine.
He has served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah College of Medicine, Director of Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Heart Transplant Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and Director of Pediatric Cardiology and Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He is a prolific medical researcher and one of the co-editors of “Handbook of Cardiac Drugs — Basic Science and Clinical Aspects of Cardiovascular Pharmacology.” In addition, he has held visiting professorships at universities around the country and is a frequent participant and speaker at international medical symposia.
Dr. Boucek’s major scientific interests include invasive and interventional pediatric cardiology, infant/pediatric cardiac transplantation, echocardiography/tissue characterization and fetal cardiology. He holds a patent for a ventricular access device and method. He is frequently cited in “America’s Top Doctors.”
