Memorial Healthcare System Among Modern Healthcare's 100 'Best Places to Work in Healthcare' Nationwide

(Hollywood, Fla.) — For the third consecutive year, Memorial Healthcare System has been named one of Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare. On the 2011 list of top 100 employers from across the nation, Memorial is #6 among large companies (1,000 or more employees) and the highest-ranking South Florida healthcare provider.

Healthcare organizations (providers, suppliers, payers, associations, etc.) from across the country participated in the program, which is conducted by Modern Healthcare magazine in partnership with Best Companies Group and sponsored by Studer Group.
Participating employers completed a survey detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics. Randomly selected employees were asked in-depth questions that resulted in an analysis in eight core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall satisfaction.
Employees expressed a number of reasons why they appreciate Memorial Healthcare System. Among those listed were the executives' open-door policy, opportunities to advance, the HERO (Healthcare Employees Reaching Out) volunteer program, wellness programs, and employee activities committees.
