Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Center Services
The Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Center at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital offers advanced care for children suffering from acute or chronic breathing problems, including asthma, bronchiolitis, bronchiolitis dysplasia and Interstitial lung disease. We also provide outstanding care to adults with cystic fibrosis. The comprehensive range of services we offer includes:
- Consultation and ongoing care
- Inpatient consultation
- Performance and interpretation of pulmonary function testing
- Evaluation of special chest imaging studies (CT scan, MRI)
- Sleep studies (Polysomnograms)
- Allergy testing
- Vaccination for RSV and influenza prevention
- Assistance with management of technology-dependent pediatric patients, including home cardiorespiratory monitoring, oxygen dependence, permanent tracheostomy, and chronic assisted ventilation (non-invasive and ventilator-dependent care).
