At Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, the pathology team, composed of general pediatric pathologists and hematopathologists, is devoted to the diagnosis of diseases and developmental abnormalities of infants and children. The pathologists study blood, bone marrow, and other tissue samples to provide diagnostic information that will assist pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, and other pediatric caregivers in understanding and treating patients.
