Pain and Symptom Management
Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and Vitas Palliative Care Solutions have established an interdisciplinary team of experienced, compassionate professionals who are committed to relieving suffering and helping patients and families achieve optimum quality of life through difficult times. The Pediatric Palliative Care team works with the child's physician team and caregivers to provide treatment and guidance around issues of pain and symptom management in a sensitive, caring manner.
Tips

- Have the name & phone of your child's physician handy
- Let the medical personnel know of any allergies
- Try to leave siblings at home if possible
