Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy
Cardiomyopathy is an abnormality of the heart muscle and is often associated with inadequate heart pumping or other problems. The Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy Program at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital provides advanced diagnosis and management of all aspects of cardiomyopathy and heart failure in infants, children and adolescents. The team, led by nationally recognized expert in pediatric cardiology, Maryanne Chrisant, MD, works closely to develop an individualized plan of care of each patient and their specific needs for rehabilitation and therapy.
