Dr. Kleiner is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who received his medical degree from State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and also was a fellow in clinical immunology there. Dr. Kleiner completed a pediatric bone marrow transplant fellowship at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina.
In 2001, he joined the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida, where he practiced pediatric allergy and immunology and was an associate professor of pediatrics. Dr. Kleiner became a member of the medical staff at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in July 2011.
His professional memberships include the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) and the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS). Dr. Kleiner is also a member of the American Society of Hematology and the Florida Allergy and Immunology Society.
