Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation
The Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation was established in 1994 to provide philanthropic support that supplements the income from payors and tax revenues received by the Memorial Healthcare System. The Foundation ensures the ongoing availability of the highest quality of healthcare services to everyone who needs them.
The Foundation is a non-profit public foundation dedicated to supporting healthcare provided to the children of the community served by the Memorial Healthcare System. The Foundation serves as the central agency through which charitable contributions are made. A volunteer board of directors, comprised of prominent business and community leaders, oversees all aspects of the Foundation's operation.
The Foundation offers a broad range of gift opportunities for donors who wish to designate their gifts toward a special project or fund. When no specific preference exists, unrestricted gifts are helpful because they can be directed to needs for which there are inadequate funds.
Along with convenient cash or check contributions
to the Foundation, donors have the option to give appreciated securities,
real estate, paid life insurance policies, or make a deferred gift through
a bequest in their wills, a trust, or the purchase of a charitable gift
annuity. Gifts may be made in honor of special occasions or in memory of
loved ones.
Donors are recognized for their gifts in many ways throughout the Healthcare System. There are a variety of naming opportunities in all of the Healthcare System's facilities, as well as gift clubs for those who wish to make a substantial annual commitment.
The
Circle of Friends is a dedicated group of donors who make an annual gift
of $500 or more to the Foundation. This group is committed to the mission
of the Healthcare System and believes in the promise of excellence in healthcare

Members are recognized in the Foundation's Annual Report, on the Physicians' Circle Wall in the main corridor of Memorial Regional Hospital, and receive an invitation to the annual Circle of Friends recognition event.
