Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and Memorial Healthcare System take great pride in serving the community. We have many programs and services designed to benefit local residents, including health fairs and HEROs, our employee volunteer program that coordinates volunteer opportunities for Memorial employees. Safety Town
Safety Town is a safety-awareness program for children sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital that features safety villages at CB Smith
Park in Pembroke Pines, Tree Tops Park in Davie and TY Park in Hollywood. The program teaches kids basic safety through a fun, hands-on approach.
Safety stations include stranger danger, water safety, fire safety, bike safety and outdoor safety. Group field trips
(25 children or more) to Safety Towns are free and run throughout the school year. For more information, please call Community Relations at

Schools of Wellness
The Schools of Wellness Initiative (SWI) promotes life-long wellness skills,
emphasizing physical activity and nutrition, with the ultimate goals of improving
the health, academic performance and attendance of elementary school children.
