Tips for Visiting an Emergency Room

You can't anticipate a visit to the emergency room — that's the nature of an emergency. But knowing some helpful tips in advance can help ease the stress of an urgent visit to the hospital.

  • Bring your child's medical records. It's a good idea to have updated copies of your children's medical records on hand. Be sure to include immunization records.
  • Don't forget the Memorial Urgent Care Center option. If your child's injury
is minor, you can choose to visit the Memorial Urgent Care Center at 801 South Douglas Road, Pembroke Pines. The Memorial Urgent Care Center is open 24 hours a day to treat your family's minor bumps, bruises, bites and burns. For more information, call the Memorial Urgent Care Center at
    (954) 985-1470.
