Language Services
Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and Memorial Healthcare System serve a vibrant Hispanic community in South Florida, and we strive to provide Spanish-speaking patients with medical care in their own language, which we believe leads to a better standard of care. Each Memorial Healthcare System hospital, including Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, has a Hispanic Services coordinator on staff to coordinate care for Spanish speakers.
Every Memorial facility has signs in English and Spanish, and many educational materials and brochures are available in Spanish. For details on our Spanish-language services and printed information in Spanish, please call Hispanic Services for Memorial Regional Hospital/Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital at (954) 986-6325.
Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital maintains a list of names of employees who speak a wide range of foreign languages, so we can communicate with patients in their own language. Please ask your nurse or caregiver about arranging translation services for languages other than Spanish.
