Preparing for Your Visit

Preparing for Your Visit Whether your child will be with us for the day or overnight for surgery or treatment, we want him or her to feel as comfortable as possible. We encourage you to ask questions of your physician and our staff to help prepare for what to expect when you visit Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

Preparing for Your Visit

Families who would like a closer look at the facilities beforehand can schedule a Teddy Bear Tour through our Child Life Department. Visiting the hospital in advance and seeing equipment up close will expose your child to the hospital environment so they are not as fearful when they come in for their treatment. Please call Child Life at (954) 987-2020, extension 4498 to schedule a tour.
